Hi

After having type 2 diabetes for many years I have just been given my first test meter!

😱 Where to start with the whole subject of testing and results? Please can anyone advise

I have to go back to my nurse in 3 months time.

Thanks for any help 🙂

First thing in the morning, before meals, one or two hours after meals and before bed. If you're not Midas and they're not giving you strips, then just test first thing unless you think you might be high or low.

Record the data from each test, your meter manufacturer may have software you can download, but a spreadsheet will do just as well. You need to record the date, time and reading each time you test. Take the record with you next time you visit your nurse.
