We like to help where we can.... it is our way of paying forward the help that others gave to us when we first joined and needed support and advice. The forum is a wonderful resource of knowledge and experience and we are all still learning. The more people who join and share their experience, the more we learn as a community, so do not feel like you are wasting our time or bothering us or waffling on..... we are actually learning from your input.
Your concerns are very legitimate... probably a lot more than mine when I joined, although at the time it felt like a hole had opened up in my world and was attempting to swallow me! Without the help of this fantastic community I would have been really struggling both physically and mentally now and there is certainly a mental aspect to diabetes because food is such a fundamental part of life and trying to manually do the work of your own pancreas can be quite an overwhelming task because there are so many factors (at least 42) which affect blood glucose levels and have to be taken into consideration to a greater or lesser extent.
