Thanks Sylvia - this is what we are here for - to help, support and accompany you on your diabetes journey - there is a wealth of knowledge on this forum - I am still learning even tho I was dx (diagnosed) in April last year! I still ask questions. There's always someone who will answer your questions Sylvia - no matter how many you ask and by the way, no question is a silly question! I hope you have a good appointment with your GP tomorrow. Jot things down to remind you what you want to ask her. Take care & keep us updated. x

Hi,

I was diagnosed last summer with type 2 diabetes. It has took me some time to adjust and slowly except my diagnosis, I thought maybe would try and join the website and see what would happen.
Not sure I can help as only recently joined myself but I wish you all the best it is confusing but hopefully we can all help say other !

Welcome, you have a lot going on so it is not surprising you feel down.

Hi Sylvia not heard from you since Sunday - how are things with you? How did your appointment go with your GP? If you are still feeling tired, there is a disease that may be contributing to your CFS and if your GP hasn't already arranged blood tests for it then do ask to be tested for Hypothyroidism - (underactive thyroid)

When I was dx with it I felt exhausted all the time and had difficulty sleeping - and I gained 3stone in weight in as many months 😱 Blood tests sussed it out and my GP prescribed Levothroxine. Because Hypothyroidism is a lifelong disease, Levothyroxine is free and all your other meds become free on permanent prescriptions too.

Would love to hear how you are faring Sylvia so do stay in touch with us and take care.x
