High blood glucose makes you feel physically and mentally exhausted and it can also affect you emotionally, making you quite aggravated/agitated, none of which are conducive to indulging in intimacy and can even just make you difficult to live with.ie. ratty for no good reason.

Every time I was 'encouraged' to start yet another diet high in carbs low in fat and calories I lost all interest in life itself - low energy and low spirits are so draining.
I feel much better these days - but it has been years since diagnosis, it did take a bit of time for the low carb way of eating to restore normality.

Have you actually spoken to your wife and asked how she feels about everything? Her diagnosis etc?

Is there a reason she cant do her injections herself?
