Had a really good afternoon, diabetic nurses came to see Tony while I was there, they spent over an hour with us explaining so much, from testing, finger pricks at moment maybe Libra later when settled and used to it all, practiced doing the injections on a dummy tummy! Help with ideas re diet will give us a full care plan before he leaves hospital as at moment infection levels still quite high and referral to the specialist diabetes's clinic at the hospital for follow ups, he is much happier about it now and is starting to come to terms with it all.
His Pancreatitis Consultant went to see him last night, raised some eyebrows as just walked into the ward and sat on the bed to have a chat, but though infection slowly decreasing doubt he will be home until late next week
