Hi just joined today!
You maybe be wondering about the username deathinparadise
Well I am watching all episodes last couple of days and have taken a like to the show.

Hi there and welcome to the forum 🙂

Feel free to join in with other threads if they take your fancy and also to post your own whether it be questions or just rants about diabetes (we've all done it at one point or another lol)

We're a friendly bunch with a lot of knowledge between us
xx

Welcome to the forum @deathinparadised

How long have you been diagnosed? Do you take any medications to help with your diabetes management?

As @Kaylz says, fire away with any questions you have or just share your own experiences and frustrations.

And yes, we do like a bit of ‘murder in the caribbean’ in this house. Have watched it since the beginning!

Hi and welcome to the forum. Hope you are doing well? If you have any questions ask away.

Yes, join in @deathinparadise , the waking thread is a great place for general chat & catch up with other members, you’ll get to know us lot, despite it’s title “Group-7 day waking average?”.🙂 It’s not just about waking readings!🙄

A cheeky little😉 from me as well!:D

Hello and welcome to the forum. 🙂

You are obviously not superstitious with that username. 🙂 I won't even move into a place that's number 4 and I never have anything with 13 on it, my plant list has #nope for that number. :D I've always thought that peoples called De'ath were very brave. I'd have changed it to Bloggs in a heartbeat.

What is wrong with the no.4

I read somewhere it's the Chinese word for Death and Chinese peoples won't move into a dwelling with that number. Having said that my Mum's fave house was a number 4 so I dunno. I'm just superstitious. 🙂 Like when we went to see the Woman In Black, the play, I just knew one seat was going to be 13 so I was juggling about so I didn't get it and didn't, I managed to get seat 16, but I still had bad luck when I sheered off half a tooth chomping into a pineapple cube sweetie. It was the plays fault, all versions of the film and the book are bad luck! I'm so scared of that film! :D

Welcome to the forum @deathinparadise
Glad that you have found us.

Do fire away with any questions that you have.

Well I have lived in my no.4 house for over 30 years!

Yes, so did my Mum and was sorry to leave that house, happiest of her life I think. It's all baloney I suppose really. 🙂

I also lived at a 31 which is 13 reversed for 20 years.

Welcome to the forum from a fellow T2.

That was very interesting, thanks for that link. I've decided to give up being superstitious. It's too much trouble. Humans are nuts. :D It's all about faith and belief imho.

Plus it can take all the fun out of life. I don't suppose, on the relevant day, you would go around saying May The 4th Be With You in China then?

Well - superstitions arose in the first place, usually in medieval times because of whatever reasons which were applicable THEN. However the world and humans have moved on an awful lot since those days - eg are children still encouraged to hunt for 4 leafed clovers to try and help relieve their boredom in the countryside/park (cos why else would you tell them to? - be honest!)
