Hi @PEPHAM , Welcome to our friendly forum. How did you come to be diagnosed ?
You’ve come to the right place for cyber support and info from people who live with the condition. Ask as many questions as you need to, we’ll do our best to help.
Hi I was not feeling unwell in any respect before I went for the cardiac study thought any outcome may benefit other people. I do a lot of brisk walking with my dog twice a day I also do a faire bit of gardening at the moment I am rearranging it, laying slabs digging moving earth ect. As for any readingsHi young man and a warm welcome to our supportive forum. So sorry to hear that you have been dx ( Diagnosed) with diabetes ~ I guess it must have come as a shock to you ~ overwhelmed you ~ I understand fully where you're coming from ~ been there ~ we all have ~ so you're not alone. As @Ljc mentioned above you have come to the right place. There are a lot of knowledgeable folk here ~ some of whom have lived with the condition for many years & are well experienced.
Can you tell us a little about yourself please so we can help & guide you in the right direction.
Had you been feeling unwell before you volunteered for the by-pass study ~ and if so for how long?
May I ask what symptoms you were experiencing if any?
What dietary regime do you follow ~ and are you able to do any exercise at all ~ like walking however little.
Have you any idea what your HbA1c blood result was? Thank you ~ no more questions for now.🙂
Now PEPHAM please dont panic ~ diabetes is a manageable condition if you follow a healthy low carborhydrate diet. It's the carbs that elevate our blood glucose levels (bgls).
