Hi Nicole, welcome to the forum 🙂 We have quite a few members with thyroid problems - they often go along with Type 1. How have things been for you growing up?

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have just been diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Just getting the thyroxine levels sorted. Got my first review week after next so will know more then.

Hey Guys,

Thank you nice to talk to people that have a lot in common with!

I never realized it was common in type 1 but had a read through and noticed it was mentioned a lot but growing up with diabetes from young was hard but through the years i have got into the habit of doing everything day to day, i do have a lot of problems keeping it under control seem to be on highs most of the time so struggle keeping it where it should be! have changed food habits and my insulin in take but nothing seems to work, do find with diabetes is being tired all the time which is a pain but i have great support from everyone but cant say diabetes is all bad because i have learnt a lot dealing

Thanks for the lovely welcome!

Hi Nicole
welcome aboard I'm sure you'll find it useful 🙂. I had a temporary problem years ago with my thyroid (caused by a virus) and it does make you feel really very tired, so hopefully you'll feel better when they get the thyroxine dose right.
