New lance every time or can I use the old one?

Tend to change mine once a day or every couple of days if I forget, still ended up with a stash of lancets as on occasions I tick the repeat for strips and they assume I want lancets as well. Though last month ticked the wrong box ended up with lancets and no strips.

I have a strong opinion on this, you all know what it is. Change your bloody lancets.

I do change my needles every time.

And there I was thinking I was naughty for using just one a day...

Now I'm on the Libre full time, only fingerpicking once or maybe twice in a day, sometimes not at all, my nearly full box of lancets should see me well into my old age pension, very possibly into the grave.

On the gravestone, just for Owen, I shall have engraved "Should have changed his lancets"

Merry Christmas everyone. I give up with all you heaven sepsis (I know the risk is very low) attracting folk out there.

Activated my last sensor after 24 hours after putting it on and after a day of activation it's reading 3 to 4 lower than both the libre test strips and my normal test strips, I can't tust it or believe the reading will not be buying another sensor. So it's keeping on with the finger pricking, should of saved the money for something else.

This is not the thread to start yet another discussion of the Libre, but if you accept it's always 15 minutes behind fingerpricks, it works just fine. Can you tell me how far behind fingerpricks are to venous blood samples? There is a difference. You, along with everyone else, seem to trust it implicitly without qualm. It isn't the gold standard. All these things are necessarily approximate, that is to say, roughly correct, apart from venous blood, but none of us seems to be coming to any great harm using these approximations. I'll live with mine, you'll live with yours. As long as you know about their limitations you'll be fine.

I thought changing lancets every time was the norm. It is a bit silly that they give 50 strips and 100 lancets but I guess there is method to the madness. I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas .... think I've been good because only hit 6.5 after a huge lunch but have refrained from Christmas pud and cake!

Don't worry Rhapsody, it is the norm. Don't pay any attention to degenerates like me and Northerner. We're men. You should know by now men never look at the instruction book🙂

Just built my first ever Lego kit, following the very clear instructions, and forbidding my husband to do any of it for me. We are off to Denmark in 2017 so there was a theme to my presents. Ever heard of Hygge?
