lol. Yes…it’s a family show etc etc

Well the “even better” news is that I’ve only gone and done one of those home blood test, send off to a lab kits from Lloyds online and got the results back today. A1c down from 50 at diagnosis 6 weeks ago to…..wait for it……41!!!!!

That means I’m technically in remission I think (below 41.9)

OMG is pretty much all I can say!! I had no idea it was possible to reduce it so fast just by a serious amount of focus and the odd pill!

Cholesterol was also 3.3 and fats were normal. (Can’t remember the number off the top of my head).

But in short, I was normal on every test I took, all of which were in the “you stupid lard-arse” category.

I’m truly stunned. Pretty much as positively as I was negatively on diagnosis. So basically 6 weeks of epic focus has eradicated 30 years of foodie hedonism

I’m still technically obese using the nhs bmi calculator and would need to reach 12 and a bit stone to cheer the fat police up properly (another 2.5 stone) so I’m destined to remain hungry until about Christmas it seems. But still, with a new spring in my not quite so heavy step now it seems.

So there you have it…..amazed of Hampshire this morning…..off to enjoy a lovely nut yoghurt and dark berries breakfast (deep joy). Thanks again to all who have encouraged and supported.

Fantastic work @R0b

You’ve worked really hard for it, so have every right to be proud. As you continue to progress to your target weight, hopefully you’ll be able to ease into more of a maintenance menu, which will give you a little bit of extra flexibility. Plus if you’ve been clearing visceral fat around your organs, your metabolism could well have bounced back a bit.

Long may the spring in your step continue 🙂
