Relationship to Diabetes

Hi, Ive been prescribed Canaglifloxin 100mg recently to help me lose weight.
Anyone out there who is or has had this?
My DN assures me it works but side effect can be thrush.

I am on 300mg of that, to be honest I have still had to amend my diet to lose weight. As well as thrush, uti's are a side effect, but both are also more common in diabetes. I have been taking it for about 3 1/2 years now and have had 2 uti's in that time, and a few bouts of thrush, but then I have always seemed to have a lot of thrush even before diabetes.

Hopefully it works for you.

We have members on various ‘gliflozins including dapagliflozin (forxiga / farxiga).

Hope you get on well with it, and the thrush leaves you alone.

Perhaps I should add, that although I had to amend my diet to lose weight with them, they worked well in terms of bringing down my HbA1c, which is why I still take them. I hope they help you with your weight and you will be side effect free,

That is really good, I am pleased that it is working for you and you are feeling more positive. Keep us updated.
