I'm doing good thanks, Stu. Diagnosed 2008 at the grand old age of 49, so quite different from you. In fact I'm quite different from most T1s - after 4 years on lantus I'd had to reduce the dose so much that I tried without it - still managing without it after another 3.5 years! 😱 Clearly, my beta cells (or some of them!) sprang back into life 🙂 Helps with my control as I have been fortunate to have had HBa1c is the 5% range practically since diagnosis.🙂Hi Northerner, thanks for asking
It's generally been good. Spent a year or two in the 9's and 10's while in my teens but my HBA1C is usually around 7 or 8. I've always injected, don't like the idea of being attached to a machine! Been on mixtard, insulitard, actrapid but now on humalog and lantus. I had a little bit of laser about 8 years ago but been ok since. I try to be as positive as I can be about it. Certainly since I became a dad.
How about yourself?
