Relationship to Diabetes
Type 2
recently diagnosed type 2 but maybe type 1 ..they didnt know....

i stopped my 5 pints of beer a night after 45 years and felt terrible for a few weeks...anyway six weeks have passed ..I test myself on the little Boots meter before bed and its looking good ..about 7.5 and thats about 2 hours after a meal ..problem is in the morning about 9 am i test again and it is always up to over 10' very bad...can anybody explain whats going on ?.?...

Guess your liver is reacting a bit to change from 5 pints a night to zero! Were you told to give up completely? Might be OK to cut down - not least because beer is empty calories, which may need to be cut down if you're overweight?

Are you making other changes to what you're eating and your levels of physical activity - not just gym / sport, but anything enjoyable / practical eg walking or cycling instead of driving / bus / train etc.
