You can get Flexitol on prescription but the first one is normally prescribed by the Podiatrist
you give the prescription to your surgery and a Dr should put it on a repeat, one pump bottle
will last you for ages and help moisturise your feet with 10%n Urea Cream to help soothe your
feet.

Used everyday it will help with the treatment of your feet but remember not between the toes.

Ah well done @pm133 as with all medication each one of us is different in how long
we react to it, it may take a while before it kicks in mine took a couple of weeks but
so glad I stuck with it.

What dosage are you on? I was started at 30mg which gave light relief now on 60mg
which gave me a better quality of life, its still there but bearable. Your BGL`s levels need
to be controlled as mentioned before from what I`ve read from your posts you are doing
well. I always know when my levels are too high I get more grief in my lower legs and feet.

I have to point out I also take 3600mg of Gabapentin to work in conjunction with it, good luck.

60mg to start with.
I will know wothin a couple of days if I am to be blessed with a miracle 🙂

Good choice by Dr hope it works soon.

@pm133 - have you looked into R-ALA? Please note, I'm talking about R-ALA, not ALA.

Some people find it helps ease neuropathy over time.

I have post-surgical neuropathy on my rib cage, where the bones were scraped. Having been advised by the surgeon the neuropathy might or might not improve, I eventually tried R-ALA.

My neuropathy has improved considerably, although I will never know if it would have anyway, as deep healing took place, but as a supplement, and easy on the body, it seemed worth a try to me.

As I understand it, it can be used in conjunction with prescribed medications. It is approved in Germany for the treatment of diabetes related nerve pain.

Whatever you try, good luck with it. Chronic pain is vile.

So, early days but since starting Duloxetine, the pains are much more manageable. I am still occasionally dunking my feet into cold water but that is reducing as well. Sleeping a bit better now.

The downside is that I appear to be going through a bit of withdrawal of the Amytriptyline and having some side effects from the new pills. Symptoms are a bit flu-like with headaches, joint pains, nausea, a little dizzyness when I stand up and a head cold so I've been confined to bed until I feel better. Might take a week or so. Still glad the pain is better. Thank goodness for Netflix. Been watching some old Hugh Grant films. Blimey, that is one beautiful specimen of manhood right there. I hate him and want to be him all in one seething tasty nugget of jealousy and self-loathing. 🙂

Hi @pm133 if they have worked for you as much as they have for me well done.

Amitriptyline not a nice drug recommended for use only in the short term so glad
the Duloxetine works for you, sit back relax and enjoy Netflix

Ah that’s great to hear @pm133

Hope the side effects you are experiencing subside as you transition between the different meds. Let us know how things go
