Hello all , I’m seeing my nurse tomorrow and my emotions are all over the place as when I had my blood test Monday the results might show up tomorrow which my nurse opens and I do have a look or I ask her quick questions and then dwell on it as I don’t see my doctor until next Tuesday . Im just terrified about what the tests will come back as , as it will say what type I’ll end up being . Im trying my hardest not to worry and I’ve done amazing job to distract myself from thinking it but I guess either tomorrow is the day or im waiting til Tuesday . I try to know before my doctors appointment so I can mentally prepare myself for it and see what plan they would like to put in place . Please pray for me and please give me advice and everything else . Pleaseee and Thankyou .

Jacinta the way you are feeling is totally normal. Of course you will worry but at least you will know what you are dealing with regarding what type you are. I think fear is your problem right now. Once you know what you are dealing with you will cope, honest you will, its the uncertainty just now which is freaking you out. At least you can come onto this forum and vent out your worries. All the best Jacinta.

Sorry to hear this uncertainty is still causing you so much stress and anxiety @Jacinta (Australian)

Try not to worry - there isn’t a good sort or a bad sort. There are similarities and there are differences - but what matters really is knowing what type you have so that you can access the right help and support, and develop strategies that suit you 🙂

Hello rosalindb Thankyou so much for that , I’ll defianetly will be settling down once I know which appranetly won’t be until Tuesday next week when I see my doctor . I’ll just have to keep distracting myself until then . I just need my mind to just chill out cause at the end of the day it is what it is I can’t change the fact that I have it but I can at least keep doing what I’m doing is actually working cause I’m slowly loosing weight cause I’m now at 77.6 kg and we set a goal of 75kgs then when I reach that one we will set another weight goal again . I don’t mind doing it this way as I see improvements it keeps me motivated .

Hello everydayupsanddowns
I’m trying to not let it stress me out and let my anixety takeover but sometimes it just gets the better of me which sucks.

I’ll defianetly try my best and just try to distract myself from it until at least Tuesday . The good thing when I seen my nurse this morning she told me what will happen once my doctor tells me . Basically what medications or insulin I would need pending what type I end up being, dietries , bloods that they will keep an eye on in the background and keep me up to date with everything so I’m not on this journey by myself . So they will be still there when I need them whenever but after 12 weeks the appointments will die down unless I really need them . So I’m happy with both my doctor and nurse and the support . It’s taken a lot of that stress off my shoulders. Just have to distract myself from this one thing with knowing what type I am . I’m happily loosing weight being at 77.6 kg but we set a goal of 75kg then once I hit that target we will put it down again . This way distracts me and makes me happy .
