They would be fine to use but you may need to change your technique, like say you usually use 4mm and you don't need to pinch with those but with longer you may want to pinch before injecting etc xx
LOL - in the olden days when Adam was a lad and I was diagnosed - the supplied needles we were issued to use with our glass and metal insulin syringes were 13mm long! - Hedgestakes !
Was there a reason why you changed your needle length?
I started on 8mm and then gradually got down to 4mm which was so much more comfortable.
Find what suits you and as @Kaylz said you may need to change your technique if you want to use a longer needle.
Do ask at your surgery if you prefer the other length @AJRobertson
Surgeries should not make these changes without discussing things with you, and while they are encouraged to use needles with the lowest acquisition, that’s only where they are of equal quality, and they suit the individual equally well.
