Hi
I started on Mounjaro 2.5 four days ago and the nausea is awful
Has anyone else experienced this and is there anything to ease this ?
I’m struggling but hoping it will ease soon

Thank you

Sorry to hear it is making you feel rough but nausea is a quite common side effect of Mounjaro, which may or may not diminish with continued use and adjusting your diet.
Have you reduced your portion sizes and the type of food you are eating?

Welcome to the forum @Carolst66

Sorry to hear you’ve had such strong feelings of nausea when starting Mounjaro :(

It does seem to be quite a common side effect with that medication. I think it’s also one of the reasons why the doses tend to be increased gradually (like they are with Metfromin, for example).

Hopefully as your body gets used to it over the next week or two, your nausea will reduce. It is also meant to suppress appetite, and increase feelings of fullness, I think?
