ill get some jelly babies an keep them in my bag just incase, does type 2 suffer from hypos alot? i seem to be ok so far although sometimes i do feel light headed but i think thats because i get hungary, missed my lunch today because i was at doctors an then at town, took my levels when i got home an i was 5.5 but thats a good level isnt it? thats not low enough to have a hypo is it?

Nope, that's a great level. 5.5 is pretty much a 'gold standard' result. Most meters on their advertising show either 5.2 or 5.6 as the number the meter displays, because they want you to think those are the numbers you'll get if you use their product. So 5.5, sitting between those numbers, is great 🙂

not very often as far as i know i suffered none until i was put on new meds, but then again thats still only been one,i think hypos are more common in type 1s.

5.5 is pretty much perfect, but you may feel light headed because you have been experiencing higher levels generally - your body thinks it is low when it gets down to what actually is a very good level! Type 2s are only likely to get hypos if they are on insulin or a drug like gliclazide, so you shouldn't need to worry about them.
