Good luck Veganlass! Don't frget your sunglasses, even if it's not sunny you might need them. There is nothing to fear from the test, so don't worry 🙂
 
I'm sure it will go well. I had my retinal scan done Friday and took a hat with me which helped.
 
You'll cope fine! I've had eye tests regularly since I was 11, and they really are nothing. The GMNT has had them since he was 6. They just look a bit harder at the back of your eye and explain what they see. It can be a tad uncomfortable if they need to give you drops, but it fades quickly. If you are over 40, they also tend to test for gloucoma, which is an excellent idea. Quick puff of air is all that one is! Take your sunglasses just in case you need them, and let us know how it goes. Good luck.

Thanks.. Yes it was fine. Clear and he said it needs to be analysed though but appears normal.🙂. He was gorgous looking btw.😉🙂

Need to go again in one year.

That's great news, so glad your eyes appear normal. BTW I was just wondering where this lovely man works , I mean where you had your eye test done😛 sounds pretty good to me Sheena

great new veganlass i'm so pleased for you

i go next wednesday and i am beside myself with panic, i suffer with anxiety anyway at times, plus agrophobia , didnt leave my house for almost 20yrs up untill 6 years ago🙂

so i fear handing over all control to someone else, and my fear is that i wont see after the drops go in:confused:

i'm silly i know but pancky all the same lol

You'll still be able to see OK, but won't be able to do things like reading or using a computer (or driving, of course!). You could ask them to try without the drops and that would be less of a worry for you. Can you take someone with you for moral support and to see you there and back safely?

Yes I hope its the same guy.😛

Eat2live, you will be fine. The drops sting a little initially. The room wasnt dark and it only took a couple of minutes. I waited for the drops to work back in the main waiting room.

BTW remember to take your sunglasses as the sun blinds you somewhat . My friend took me in her car..

thanks northerner and veganlass for your reassuring words, i'm such a wimp thats why it took me ages to go to the GPs about my symptoms in the 1st place!🙄

my husband will be with me so i'm good on that score,

veganlass, how long before your eyes returned to normal?
my appointment is an early one at 9am,

i will take my sunglasses with me..thanx again xx
