Really pleased to hear this? Have you had an appointment at the clinic or did a nurse come out to your GP clinic to get you started?
Learning to use insulin is a work in progress for us all but the early weeks and months are a very steep learning curve. You will make mistakes occasionally and sometimes it will go wrong even when you haven't made a mistake so you have to learn to roll with the punches and accept there is an element of unpredictability and getting it "near enough" most of the time, is good enough. Don't strive for perfection as it isn't possible and will drive you mad.
Have they prescribed you Freestyle Libre sensors to help you manage your levels?
Which insulins are they starting you off on?
Feel free to ask whatever questions you have here on the forum. I found it invaluable because there is only so much you can take in during that first appointment and I am sure there was quite a lot that went in one ear and out the other at mine, but the good people here kept me right when it came down to the practicalities.
