I often have Portobello Mushrooms @Kaylz grilled and with slices of garlic inserted into them. They are also wonderful with cheese. Easy to do

Soften a small amount of chopped onion together with some red pepper in butter, then add as many roughly chopped (or sliced) chestnut mushrooms as you want with as much garlic as you want, add some thyme and rosemary, and cook down until mushrooms well cooked and reduced in size. Season to taste. Can be eaten on it's own. Nice in an omelette too. Mushrooms can be eaten raw. Whether you do or not is a matter of taste.

I have never ever tried a raw mushroom.

My mum was a guinea pig yesterday as they had them fried with their dinner so she tried a bit before cooking them, she said it was alright but definitely prefers them fried or roasted x

Well guys, I sliced up a closed cup mushroom and had it raw with my tea (only one in case I didn't like it as I hate throwing away food! lol) and I must admit I rather enjoyed it! 🙂 (may have been even better if I'd remembered earlier and it wasn't straight out of the fridge! haha) xx
