@Lizzie1945 - don't know. I have to make an appointment with the nurse for a review in a couple of weeks, so will ask then. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

Blood pressure medication does seem to be something that you have to get right for you as there are so many different types and dosages. Some people may need two or more different types and the dose is also something that can make a huge different to how well you tolerate any particular one.
It seems to a bit of trial and error as to what works for different people. If you haven't got one a home blood pressure monitor might be useful so you can test at home when you are more relaxed and take the readings in rather than have it done at the doctors when everything is often rather stressful.
I hope you get it sorted.

Muscle pain when taking statins, which often prescribed as diabetes and heart problems from high cholesterol often go together. Most doctors do not have a good knowledge of biochemistry , the odd one will have , but I found the knowledge to be scant to say the least.
Statins inhibit the production of co-enzyme Q10 in the mitochondria,, this enzyme is essential for cell respiration, so if muscle cells can not respirate properly you get pain, there is a very simple solution, take co-enzyme Q10 capsules daily, don't take more than 100mg a day, as you body cant absorb more than that , you can purchase them, they are made by Pharma Nord, or they can be prescribed on the NHS as Ubidecarenone. There is plenty of medical research to verify this if your GP says rubbish, I've been taking them for 15 years plus and no muscle pain, unless I do some strenuous exercise.
I discovered this from an excellent paper from Prof. Vittorio at Ancona university
BTW women have been using face creams with co-enzyme Q10 in for years , as keeps the skin in good condition as well.
NICE dont like it as if everyone on statins was prescribed it would cost a lot, But that's what you pay tax for !
