Sorry if this has been covered...moving from Libre to Libre 2. Do I just apply new sensor and carry on or is there more to it? Obviously wanting to use the alarm function. Thanks

You can use the app but if you want to use the reader youn need to get the new Libre 2 reader.

Yup. As long as your smartphone app is up to date it will work.

If you want to use the reader, you can contact Abbott with your old reader serial no and they will send you a replacement.

When was your app last updated?
I would advise checking you have the latest version as there were some updates to support Libre 2.

There was update laste week on Android, but I did not notice any obvious difference.

I did: the scanning feels much faster. (So maybe it was just a minor update to change how they do NFC on some phones. Something like that.)

Perhaps, now I think about it I may have had less failed scan with the phone.

Not necessarily "faster", but it feels like before I'd need to have the phone in the right place for a second before I'd get the notification, and now that feels like it happens really quickly. (It may be that overall the time is the same, but it feels better to get the vibrating notification fast so I know I'm in the right place.)
