Hi,
A good result this week - 4.2lbs lost. Very happy with that, especially as it means that I am now under 17 stone.
So what have I changed to get here? Actually, nothing. I have just been ploughing along doing what I always do. It appears that my body has finally adjusted and is ready to lose a few more lbs. I now stand at 88.8lbs lost - so the chase for 100lbs is now on. Never imagined I would actually be at this point, so it’s pretty exciting.
Strength training continues. It has been very difficult in the heat and I have found that I can’t do quite as much as I would like when it is hot or muggy. I get horrendously overheated to the point that I need to stop. Frustrating, but at least I’m still getting some done I guess.
Mounjaro wise, I’m beginning to manage my hunger a little better that I was for a couple of weeks. I haven’t had any side effects, so I can’t complain.
I note in the press there are reports that the cost of Mounjaro is going to skyrocket for those who have to pay privately, thanks to the whole tariff thing going on in the US. This is a real shame as it’s already inaccessible to many. I can’t understand why the UK or parts of Europe aren’t coming up with a GLP1 competitor for the market. I don’t profess to know how all of that works - but it seems crazy that we are relying on American products. Meh.
Clothes are really beginning to feel loose on me now, and even though you could hardly call me skinny, I’m feeling much more confident in how I look. I’ve spent years keeping my head down, avoiding mirrors and generally trying to make myself invisible. It’s nice to be less bothered about who might be looking and laughing…
That’s about all for this week. I will be continuing what I am doing and hopefully before too long, that 100lb loss will be in the bag.
Have a great week.
