Mounjaro Monday - Week 22 update

Hello!

Well, for some reason I have had a huge 5lb loss this week! Ordinarily I wouldn’t recommend a big loss like this as it can be hard on you health wise. However, I’m not complaining at this one - I expect I will struggle for a couple of weeks now with fluctuations etc… So for now I will just celebrate it. This big loss has led to my achieving two milestones this week. Firstly, I hit the 5 stone/70lbs mark, and then I entered a new stone bracket. I am now a 17 stone something… Truly amazing to me, considering just 7 months ago I was a 23 stone something.

I really don’t think that I could ever have imagined being where I am now this time last year. I really didn’t think I had it in me to change and that I was doomed to a miserable future riddled with health problems. I seriously underestimated myself! I have been thinking about that today and the things I am able to achieve now. I need to hold on to this empowering feeling and bring it to other areas of my life - because I really can’t achieve more than I give myself credit for.

Exercise this week has been fine. I did take it a little easier this week as I have been full of a cold, which has made me feel pretty grotty. I still managed to get to the gym and have a couple of good workouts, and I was back on my long walk this afternoon. Plus I’ve done a fair bit of walking to and from work. So all in all, my easier week was still pretty active. I felt good pushing myself a little with my cold - I think it did me good. I had to chuckle at the gym today as my sister told me that I’ve “got no ar*e anymore” - not quite true, but it is smaller than it was haha.

Mounjaro symptom wise - I had one blip on Friday. I ate both strawberries and blueberries for lunch and ended up with stomach ache. This is very unusual for me as I generally have an iron gut. But, it was very short lived and I was fine by the evening. I suspect it was too much fruit in one sitting. I’m usually fine with it though - so perhaps my stomach was overloaded.

My aim this week will be to get plenty of exercise in, and try to keep the weight I have lost off. Fingers crossed.

Hope you all have a brilliant week and thanks as always for your support.

Many, many congratulations @Katetype2 You are doing really brilliantly and an inspiration to others, myself included. You are so right about your mind preventing you from achieving stuff and when you stop allowing it to limit your achievement it can be really amazing what you can do. Not sure I have worded that quite as I would like but hopefully you understand.
Your positivity is such a massive gift and asset both to yourself but to others who come into contact with you, even just through the internet like this.

Go girl! You are a :star:.

You are so right @Katetype2 - and thanks so much for sharing your progress :starstruck::starstruck::starstruck:

(Though I think you meant to put that you can achieve more than you think?)

You keep rocking those milestones @Katetype2 . Such an inspiration!
If I feel under the weather it's very tempting to dial back on the exercise. I admire your tenacity in carrying on your normal routine. Well done and keep going.<3:star:
