Mounjaro Monday (but Tuesday!) - Week 28 update

Hi,

A little late this week - I’ve been busy.

Choose a weight - any weight - and the chances are that I have been it this week haha. I jest, but I have been up and down all week - however, as of this morning I am definitely down a little and once again, tantalisingly close to hitting my 6 stone loss; just a few oz in it.

The cause of all this fluctuation is 100% my return to the gym - and even more specifically, the leg day I did on Wednesday. I thought I was ready to do my usual leg day routine… wrong! Oh boy, did I suffer for the two days after lol. I must have been a comical sight for those two days - my thighs and bum were so sore! I absolutely know that they were retaining water as a consequence. In the end, a gentler workout on the weekend and a good walk has helped and I am no longer walking like a cowboy after a particularly long day on the ranch.

You may recall that I have started pursuing a higher Mounjaro dose. I haven’t sorted out a blood test yet- but it is on my to do list. There have been no symptoms and I am confident that my current stall in weight loss is actually nothing to do with Mounjaro or food - I am very much in a calorie deficit. It is a case of pushing on and getting past my current ‘set point’.

Well, that’s about it for this week. As always, thank you all so much for your kind words and support. I am truly terrible at getting back to people but please don’t think that I don’t appreciate it all - I really do.

Hopefully, next week I will be able to report that I have hit 6 stone lost. Every ounce lost is a little bit less diabetes damage done - and that’s what it’s all about.

Amazing stuff again @Katetype2 and thank you so much for your updates - they are inspirational to everyone - looking forward to next weeks update with the big six milestone so close - well done and keep going - loving your work <3

Oh gosh the leg days 🙄 Used to think my legs were the strong part of my body... The 30 min crawl (there's no way I could call it a walk) back from the gym tells me otherwise  It has become better though now that I spend around 10 mins post workout on the mats stretching and rolling out any sore muscles, so it might be worth trying that to see if it helps you too <3
As Matt has said - your regular updates are honestly an inspiration (a 'newsletter' I not-so-secretly look forward to every week). So please continue to keep us posted <3:star:

As always, you are inspirational Kate! Well done on another successful week. We are all rooting for you to hit that 6 stone marker soon. :star:

You are still nailing it @Katetype2 so well done! Hopefully you have recovered from the leg exercises.
Looking forward to hearing when you smash that 6 stone loss target.

Well done, remember the scales are the whole picture, you are doing well with your gym, your overall health has improved, so all big wins.

You have inspired me to join a gym with my friend and her husband.
