I hear that either there already is or there will soon be restrictions placed on what weight motor home a diabetic can drive. Does anyone know what these are?

Hi Brian if you are on insulin then the weight restriction has been in force for many years. Look at you driving licence and see what it says you are entitled to drive.

Found this for you https://www.gov.uk/driving-motorhome

That Link to the Gov website covers large motorhomes, for those with restricted licences (e.g. on insulin) or over 70 you can drive a vehicle up to 3,500kg (B) and tow a trailer up to 750kg behind it if you have cat B and B1 on your licence.

I'm type two.

I'm also over 70 so what does the sum total of that and Type Two mean?

As I have already stated have a look at your driving licence, what does it say you can drive?
It doesn't matter what type of diabetes you have, if on insulin you jump through hoops to drive anything over 3.5 tonnes.
Also as Vicsetter says, you are also restricted due to your age.
