to all the Mums out there, enjoy your day!

but please spare a thought for those of use who no longer have a Mum with us. It is just over 2 years since my Mam died and I find Mothers day very difficult. I plan to go to the coast tomorrow (one of her favourite places), and walk along the beach.

Cheers to all
Hazel

exactly same for me hazel 1 yr 3 mnth , dont like the day but like yourself i will visit and lay flowers , my lil lad keeps my mind off it
xxxx

Thanks Steff

Isn't it silly things that get you - a couple of weeks ago I bought daffodils to take to Mam, felt really silly as by the time I got to the checkout, I was weepy. But as they say, time is a healer.

I love though, to see on the TV, the little ones making home made greetings for their mothers.

Hazel

Hazel, time is a healer, I nearly lost my mum in Nov last year and I live so far away that I always worry how she is (I have to get a flight home which doesn't leave that often) she also has diabetes and her BS are very high, even tho I give her advice she as stubborn as mums come sometimes.

Carolyn, how kind to post your thoughts.

You are so lucky still to have you Mam, however far away, treasure her.

I think the reason I love these message boards, is not only do I learn more about diabetes, but I feel part of a larger family.

To everyone, enjoy your mothers and your children.

Hazel

definetly agree there hazel this place is of great comfort to us all.

Happy mothers day to all - i will enjoy mine with my 3!

I also lost my mum to cancer 18 months ago - so i know how awful it makes you feel - everyone needs their mum - and mine was so wonderful (as i am sure all yours were/are) - so i will be thinking of us all who have lost their mum's. I feel sure that our mums will be looking out for us tomorrow.🙂Bev

happy mothers day to all of you, sure you all deserve a nice day.lost my mum in 1966 at the age of nine and mum was 38,but still never forget her,not just on mothers day but everyday, and im sure that will be the same for everyone on heren you will never forgewt them.

Happy Mothers Day to all you Mums out there, I hope you all enjoy your day..

I lost my Mum 35 years ago, and although I am 70 years of age, I still miss her and think of her often.

John

Thank you all for your mothers day thoughts, and happy mothers dy to all mums everywhere.

Friday all the children came home from nuyrsey with a flower for their mums for mothers day which was realy nice.

aww thats lovley my lad came home having made me a card was soo nice and sweet, woke me up 2day with bowl of cereal and card underneath the bowl i was near tears ha xx

I hope everyone had a good mothers day. I got a nice book from big boy Interesting Things for Mums which is full of the quirky things I like. Little boy got me a woodland fairy with leafy wings I'd been looking at in a local shop for weeks. Hubby is cooking dinner as I type and I had a nice long soak in the bath and help eith the ironing.😎

Alex got me a 'recycled' present from school ( they collect shampoo etc off mums throughout the year) and he put in his card 'the household would fall apart without you mum'! The present was ted baker bath stuff a sponge and a toilet bag - he thought the bag was a head towel - bless! They matched perfectly - but i am not surprised as he is influenced by his two older sisters! ( actually just one of them - the other is a tom boy!) - dont you just love kids?I will treasure his card forever! ( i know i am pathetic!)🙂Bev

Happy Mothers Day To All
Hope you all had nice days.
I was taken out for lunch, lovely healthy main meal mince, tatties & (skirlie- a first)
then sticky toffee pudding (very small portion! -also a first for few years!) TO DIE FOR !!
Don't get out much especially for sticky toffee pudding !

Lovely presents also, one a PEDOMETER to walk off all those puds! Thoughtful daughter.

Ge ran out of school on Friday and was desparate to show me I was near to tears. Also this is the first Mothers day card that he has writtne Mummi and love Ross on, that nearly started me off again

I will cherish this Mothers day forever
