I was really surprised and angered to learn that every time my HbA1c is within the correct limits, my doctor gets paid more money. Soooo..... I do the hard work and self-management and he gets the reward! This can't be fair when diabetics are being denied testing strips because they are too expensive. Any cash payments should go to the patient to help fund their testing equipment.

It's enough to make me over-indulge before by next HbA1c just to prevent this happening. Not really - but I would certainly like to find a way of making more people aware of this practice.

Last HbA1c 5.9%

If your doctor is anything like mine, he seems only to work part time too.

You are quite right, why should someone else benefit from our hard work.
