Montezuma - Lime & Sea Salt

I couldn't trust myself with a box of that joy.

I made the deliberate mistake of buying a Green and Blacks Ginger one yesterday on my walk and of course it didn't survive the day. I did quite a lot of walking yesterday though so hopefully I burned some of it off.

What % cocoa is this Lime and Sea Salt Montezuma? I like the sound of the cherry one.

70%

There seems to be a lot guilt expressed on the thread about eating some chocolate when no one is writing woofing down a giant Fruit and Nut bar by themselves every day.
Give yourself some slack guys and enjoy your treats. Because that is what you look to me to be discussing - the occasional treat of some good quality high(ish) cocoa solid lower carb chocolate.

Enjoy it!

I don't feel guilty about eating it, I just enjoy chocolate a lot and can end up eating more than is good for me 🙂

Snap.No guilt for me either

I've seen the cherry and geranium ones on supermarket websites but not the lime. Where do you get yours?

My treat is low quality, lowish cocoa milk chocolate - and I still don't feel guilty

I LOVE Cadbury whole nut, but I know if I bought some I would scoff the lot hah
At least the nuts lower the carb count. I could easily guzzle a whole 200g bar of Dairy Milk in one sitting or the popping candy Cadbury's Sensations and don't get me started on half dozen boxes of Cadbury's Cream Eggs which then of course became boxes of 5. :(
I simply cannot be trusted with milk chocolate or indeed Cadbury's Bourneville which is only 36% cocoa solids so hardly dark, but purports to be. 🙄.... or heaven help me Old Jamaica!! I love rum and raisin ice cream as well. And the 60% ginger Green and Blacks didn't pass the guzzle test either and from what you are saying this Montezuma lime and sea salt and whatever other varieties also needs to not be on my shopping list.

@helli Nothing wrong with feeling guilty when you have done something you shouldn't. There are recommended portion sizes on these treats for a reason. It is how a lawful society works. That feeling of guilt reminds me to stay on the straight and narrow.... at least most of the time. I would rather learn from guilt as punishment.

I'm not that keen on creme eggs, especially since they changed the chocolate!
Ferrero Rocher on the other hand...

Oh, and Hotel Chocolat boozy truffles, eye wateringly expensive, but we usually treat ourselves to a box at Christmas.

My brother always buys us a large box of Hotel Chocolat for Christmas. I love the dark chocolate batons.

My partner's boycotted Creme Eggs since they changed the recipe. I always found them a bit sickly anyway. I don't mind Ferrero Rocher at Christmas, although they always seem a bit insubstantial, given the amount of unwrapping that's needed.

Yes, I still like Dairy Milk, regardless of the recipe/ownership changes: I prefer 'normal' Dairy Milk, rather than with bits in it. It reminds me of living in the West Midlands and visiting Cadbury World.

The thing with Ferrero Rocher is.... why would you pay all that money and have to unwrap them and eat the wafer shell thing when you could just buy a jar of Nutella and stir in a few chopped nuts if you like and eat it with a spoon, which is what I used to do.

You sound like me: I can resist anything except temptation.
I am not too keen on moderation or portion control either.
