Only a small rant, I was due for my retina scan on Friday, received a letter on Saturday, informing me that the scan had been postponed to a future date and I would be advised accordingly.

My gripe, no inkling of an apology for any inconvenience caused, only the briefest most terse statement possible.

If I was cancelling/postponing an appointment, I would at least apologise.

OK rant over.

Have a good day😎

That is SO true, rant away🙂 we are but a number, as UB40 said 'I am a 1 in 10' (and if anyone has a gripe about the context of the song, I do know it is about being unemployed) :( Sheena

You're perfectly justified in being annoyed - it only takes a few words. :( I sometimes feel myself as though the health service treats you as though they can chop and change with impunity, but should you have to rearrange something then you often get nowhere.

That's it exactly Alan😡

Last appointment K had with her local eye specialist back in June, she wanted to see K in 6 months - we got the appointment straight away for 15th Feb (8 months) then in late December got a later that said it had been changed to 29th Feb. Then last week got a appointment reminder call for 15th!

Turns out they class each appointment as two separate ones (one with Optomitrist one with Opthamologist, or whatever they are called) and only one had been postponed - the one thats like the optician does. There is no point in K seeing the Miss D without having her eyes tested first!

Cut a long story short - now we have the appt on 29th for eye test and I have to ring Miss D's secretary after half term for (hopefully) an appoint with her the week later. But this has only happened because I am in possession of a few brain cells and realised something weird was happening - we could:( have gone to the appoint. tomorrow and wasted every bodys time.

Appointment clerk didn't have a clue - it was the secretary of Miss D that sorted it for me, but she was only able to do that for us because K is such an unusual 'case' it wasn't necessary to have her file ( which was in Poole, Secretary in Bournemouth)

I've had no apology for all the messing about, but they should know it was a double appointment shouldnt they? Macabee you should get an apology too, but not much chance for either of us

how annoying for both of you!

But to put a little bit of humour on it, it is just like receptionists when you tell them you work full time so can you have an appointment at the beginning or end of the day, and you can guarantee you'll be offered one at around 11.30am!!!!
