Mince Pie Season!

Time for a strong will - or leave money at home to ensure a strong will. histoicly I have got througha couple of boxes a week!

Now that I am counting my calorie intake I now have motivation not to eat many, if any...................as they are about 400 calories for something so small.........

I will no doubt fail.............

Perhaps make your own and adapt the receipe?
Can you you make the pastry using some ground almonds also not putting a top on the pie would also cut back on the carbs. If you don't fancy using ground alomonds could you just make a very thin pastry base and again no top?
Perhaps also do a google search and find a low carb mincemeat,

Sounds better sue but cant be doing with sweet mince pies. :(

Then again, make your own mince meat to your own taste 🙂 (That's if you do actually like mince pies)
Personally I do not like pastry mince meat Christmas pud or cake oh and did I mention I hate turkey as well :D

Can't stand mince pies, they are sickly and not worth the extra insulin.

I love mince-pies plus those iced christmas slices - full of fruit yummmmy - don't know what I'll have this year  Are there any good alternative christmas recepies or books...🙂

Fillet or rib of beef Sue? Scrummy. Pete really likes turkey but I never have.

Unfortunately I really love anything with dried fruit, or just that on its own ..... a whole mince pie ranges between 35 and 40g CHO so that's like having a whole another dinner to me! (Probably not as much as my Xmas dinner but an ordinary weekday one)

I ignore Christmas altogether so am quite happy with a slice of cheese on toast. Tis the same as any other day of the week for me. :D

I'm not bothering with mince pie season either. I can't stand mince pies anyway.

Bah humbug :D
