MikeyBikey Is Unwell - Part II

It turns out the procedure I had was an ,Endarterectomy of the Femoral Artery, rather more complex than the simpler Angioplasty I had expected. No wonder it was sorer than I anticipated!

The NHS is creating too many websites. This came from a text leading to Concentric. Appointment letter was from another site!

I'd take it as positive that they've taken the option shown often to exhibit longer term success.

I hope you can recover without too many bumps in the road, and that you start to see improvements in your foot health.

Fingers remaining firmly crossed here, but I'm interpreting your update as good news (ignoring the throat business).

Great to hear, @MikeyBikey, that you've finally got some progress and I join others in wishing you a speedy recovery.

I totally agree with you about the NHS having an excess of websites. My core personal data is different between my Medical Centre in Wokingham, Berks and the Hospital Trust managing me in Oxford. I tolerate and live with the small differences, but it doesn't leave me happy about such silliness.

Oh oh I know what that is - opening up a slot in the artery and removal of the atheroma - the plaque, to allow blood to flow, with the possibility of a patch being put into the incision to widen the artery.
It is supposed to be very effective in situations like your own.
Recovery is usually over a month though - you really do not want anything opening up under pressure.

Just to be sure, I've dedicated another candle to your recovery, I made 100, so if anything can be considered a sure thing, you are on to a winner.

Goof morning? Pleased with a 7.9 after a eek of morning highs.

Three of the diabetic team came around yesterday and accused me of control! Not me! You come off injectables and go on an IV Infusion. When I went back to injectables someone copied the doses incorrectly! A10 user old could do better . Joking apart I find this quite worrying. ,:(

Hi Mikey, good to hear from you this morning. How ate you feeling apart from the BG levels? Glad to hear they are settling down. You are the expert on your own diabetes. Don't let them tell you otherwise.

Yes, two DSNs wanted to make massive changes to my insulin doses that could cause highs much of the day and a hypo n the early morning. They were comparing my original correct doses against the BGs from the previous few days with the incorrect incorrect doses.

Getting better. The pain is reduced and due to, I suspect, to diabetic nerve damage? I think there infection is, more or less, out of my system. I wonder if they even know what it was? The main issue is that it has left me very weak. I am now doing daily exercises with a physio to build up my strength but feel they should have stayed weeks ago.
