Hi all.

My MiaoMiao2 has arrived today but I'm not too sure what apps to use alongside it. I am using Libre one and an Android Samsung S7. I can't access Tomato or XDrip+ on Google play, but can access Glimp. I downloaded it but not really getting to grips with it. Do you have to actively open the app each time you want a reading? I thought it would display readings every 5 mins on my phone screen? Any advice would be appreciated. Would I be better maybe switching to an Iphone for better options? Thanks for any advice.

Xdrip is not on play store. Google for installation instructions to find it. Can't remember but think it's on GitHub.

Good luck.

It is available on Github. If you join the xDrip Facebook group, the link is available under Announcements as well as advice from fellow members.
Like Glimp, the graph is updated every minute. The BG value can displayed as an icon in the Notifications area of the screen and the lock screen. Be aware xDrip is a very techy app.

Instruction manual for connecting MM2 to Tomato, Glimp and xDrip are available from the QR code on the box. At least they were when I bought mine last year.

I don't believe it makes much of a difference. I have been using my MM2 with Android and xDrip+ with no trouble. It takes some getting used to but I find it is worth it.
If you want something you can glance at to get your latest BG value, have you thought about a Smart Watch?

you can download xDrip+ here: https://xdrip-plus-updates.appspot.com/stable/xdrip-plus-latest.apk

I'm on an android S6 and as well as just opening the app I can see my blood sugars on my phone lock screen, by swiping down on my notifications bar, and there is the ability to add a widget to your phone screen so you can see it on your home screen (pics included, excuse my hypo 😛).

Thanks everyone. Managed to get X drip set up. So will see how it goes. Can anyone tell me where to get the stickers to attach the MM2 to the libre. I thought you got stickers with it but didn't so just using a patch to hold it on just now.

I don't know for definite if they sell but Funky Pumpers sell allsorts of stickers for Diabetes tech.

I assume you are referring to the double-sided stickies that attach the MM to the Libre rather than the decorative stickers you can get to cover your Libre.
I bought a batch from MM when I bought my device. But, to be honest, I expect double-sided cellotape would work just as well unless you intend to attach it to your arm too (you may need to be aware of any allergies if it is touching your skin).
Alternatively, some people have bought 3D printed bands that hold the MM in place without tape. The advantage of these is that you can easily remove the MM for charging. These are available from eBay.

Hope it works well for you @Lizzy78 🙂
