Metformin dose halved

Yesterday I've made a visit with my GP and after having see my latest exams decided to try to cut in half the metformin dose. I'll take only one pill in the evening.
The HBa1C is in the normal range, but the urine had a high pH.
 
The only problem is the urine is alkaline, and sometimes I goo to the WC and I feel a little pain

The GP was a bit concerned about this and supposed that was better lo lower the dose to see it was the problem.
 
Good results on the HbA1c. Hope the other is sorted soon.
