Yes sure 5ft 7.5 weight was 81kg, 3 weeks ago Now now weigh 74kg!
Also taking medicine for high blood pressure, but usually good around 117/70 and high Cholesterol I think about 5.0 so high.

Want to lose about 3 kg more kg, so 71 kg is good, but importantly want to do some walking and light jogging ,so that I can also increase my carbs intake from 70g per day to about 150g per day

Canagliflozin and other SGLT2 inhibitors work by preventing the kidneys absorbing extra glucose and subsequently re-releasing it into the blood.

Goodness knows what effect either taking it or stopping it, might have on YOUR body, so whatever you do or don't do - I ask you to use extreme caution! You really REALLY need to consult your medical team prior to doing anything.

Hi @trophywench, yes you are correct,

I would like to drop Canagilflorizi, but won't do on my own accord and am not ready for any other changes to my medicine for at least 2 months and yes will consult wiih my GP first.

Also the first time in 3 weeks my fasting BG dropped below 5, it is 4.5 this morning (the only thing I did yesterday I moved some furniture)- this is a big psychological indicator for me as I used to get similar reads with Glicizide and as you know I am off them now.

IAlso modifying your signature with things like medication, HbA1c levels etc is a really useful thing for others on the forum when they're trying to figure out whether a nugget of info could be relevant to their circumstances.
Hi @ColinUK ,

I have modified my signature, the issue was that I had to log out and log back in for the changes to occur!

Well moving furniture is likely to have been the cause of your drop, even doing housework drops levels.

I just has a play with my spreadsheet. For the ten weeks after I first got a waking seven day average below 6, my average waking BG was 5.77. I was taking 1xMetformin with my evening meal (HbA1c in my signature). My GP then agreed I could stop taking Metformin. For the following (nearly) 7 weeks I am averaging 5.72 on waking.

It was a G Plan electric recliner settee, am sure it weighs 100kg!

Yes looking forward to the exercise will find out next week from Hospital. Can't tell you how pleased I am with my BG this morning, it can only get better.

Well done @adrian1der you are doing great.

My average fasting reads over a 2 week period done on the 14 Feb was 5.89 and that included Glicizide wear off.

My average fasting reads done today over the last 2 weeks is now 5.58 which is great news for me. i think the low carbs and losing weight have done it, with the added bonus of no Glicizide too, hopefully, my GP will be happy with these results.
