Metformin and anaemia

Hi Andy, didn't they follow up your low result and sggest/prescribe course of action? If not, might be worth asking to be referred on these grounds or contacting local hospital and asking to speak to DSN there.

Sorry just read about the injections - have they tested your B12 levels since? If it's not working very well for you, again I would push for further investigation.

Thanks all - I didn't think it was the metformin - I think her doc is at a loss as to what is causing the problem and investigating all avenues. She's not an alcoholic either!! She needs to get anaemia sorted though as she needs a heart valve operation. The joys of ageing - not!!
