Meter mayhem

Carol has 2 pink ones too. One in her school bag and one in her handbag. At home she uses the OneTouch Ultra 2 🙂

I like the easys. They don't take up much room. But the wallet is a bit small, because Carol uses a BD finger pricker, which takes up the whole length. So the pot of strips doesn't fit anymore. We had to squeeze the pot into the outside pocket.

If it was me I'd put it in a pencil case - way cooler and bigger than the boring black cases they come in! 🙂

Give them another call Steff - if they sent it out when you thought they did you should have had it ages ago. Its easy for you to defend the PO if they start blaming it as your OH can check up for you.

Thanks Margie I never actually rang anyone to get it I filled a form in online x

He did tell me yesterday though that he delivered 2 one touches yesterday on his delivery, so could be an omen.

Grr typical was out and missed posty, he out card through door so will go collect tomorrow, im simising its my meter at last otherwise ive not idea lol

I've used One Touch meters since Adam was a lad (I think LOL) and have to say have always been mega accurate - think I've said before when I had a CGMS on for a whole week, virtually every reading I did was smack on the line that the CGMS produced (which adjusts in the software to change interstitial fluid measurement to errm, blood? plasma? - what a meter reads anyway LOL so you can see to compare)

They tend to be dead simple to use and I love em.

Am now using a Nano; I do like the Multiclix finger bodger but keep fogetting to turn the thingy to get a new lancet and find changing em a bit tedious since I've always been a St Swithin's day advocate in the past so this concept of a new lancet every 7th stab is just weird to me after all these years ! LOL

From memory you don't get a card with One Touch and only get 10 strips to start you off which doesn't last me 5 minutes now LOL

Have to say I think the Nano reads a tad high, have had 2 occasions the last couple of days when I've read in the low 4's and I know I'm hypo - one time I was actually seeing spots before my eyes and would have sworn I was under 2 cos my sight doesn't normally go until that kind of level. Treated em both as hypos anyway and after the events on retesting later as you do, once I evidently was and once I evidently wasn't ...... odd.
