Medtronic 780 safety warning when flying

Like others I received a safety warning about delivery of insulin when flying during the take off and landing due to changes in pressure. What I didn’t note was any suggestions that they made about what to do about it.
I have now booked a trip and wondering what anyone else has tried in the light of the warning.
Any strategies

I’ve never had a Medtronic but with all my other pumps, I’ve simply disconnected them until we’re in the air and again when we descend for landing. When I want to reconnect, I prime the tubing just to clear any bubbles before reconnecting.

I’d heard about the potential of pressure changes messing with insulin pump / tubing during flight / takeoff / landing… so have always tried to keep an extra-close eye in things.

I’ve not always remembered to disconnect, but I did have a very rapid-onset howler of a hypo after landing once. Really took me by surprise - there was a bit of my brain that was in a real fog of confusion, and another bit that was almost observing me like a third party going, “this is really weird”. I just kept stumbling on in the queue of people - it wasn’t easy to find a place to sit - and by the time I was through the maze I was coming round again!
