It could me a local supply issue. Have they given any indication when they'll expect a full supply again?

No , I'm going into boots tomorrow to talk it over . I've got enough to last till tuesday
Just wondered if it was a national thing. But like you said it may only be local.
Keep us posted on how you get on at Boots. If there's still an issue, you might need to speak to the GP to see if there's another Sulfonylureas (the group of meds Gliclazide comes under) that you can be switched to.
I have seen reports of other diabetes medication in short supply but not glic. It maybe a local thing or a Christmas thing where people are stocking up for the holiday break,
Not much help now but, if you can, in future, in may be useful to keep a bigger “stash”/ reordering earlier.
This is good to know, fingers crossed, I've only got low because I've had to double my prescription. Can't cope with Metformin so we're trying something else.
