Medication reviews question

this is the dangers of when reviews can go wrong, i had a f2f last Friday with a doctor issued a new medication but then went head strong in to another bloody review all very well but i wasn't there for that and a medication which was stopped should of been stepped down slowly and over the weekend i became more ill and then on Monday i had to seek help.

i was lucky that this was caught in time as it had caused a rebound effect from going high to crashing my body out.

thankfully they are now doing a step down procedure over this week but this should of never happened in the first place.

many medications are okay to just stop but for some they can have a very nasty effect if you don't come off them slowly and all this happened because of a dam review and care wasn't taken.

pleased to say after starting treatment i am feeling a lot better this morning.

Glad you're feeling better now.

I would have lost some confidence in the surgery if they did that to me.
It's worth making a formal complaint to the practice manager, and hopefully more care will be taken in the future.
(Not just for yourself, if they are slipping for whatever reason, it may be affecting other patients as well)
