Paper???? OK in 1972 they were cardboard, but they have been little plastic credit card sized ones for about 25 years if not 30 ! Kept in a purse or wallet along with all the other cards (NB 99% not credit ones) and dead easy to keep track of the expiry.

Mine was a thin postcard sized thingy. Maybe they thought my diabetes could be cured so I didn't need plastic.

Middle age keeps getting pushed back ten years for every decade I add to my own age. 60 is approaching fast now, of course, I'm still 6 on the inside.
