Hi all
I’m hoping some can help me. I’m finding it so hard for all my medical departments to speak to one another and I’m constantly explained to each department what’s going on. I have also had a different department giving me results from a different department that only got in touch with me 2 months after I was told which involved me taking new medicine. Is there anyway to have one medical team or contact.

The best option for many situations is a multi-disciplinary team.

However, just because you may have one condition or need, doesn’t mean that you might also need to see someone else about something else. GPs should generally get notes and updates relating to more specialist medical interventions. Perhaps you can use your GP as your central point of contact between the clinics you see for different things?

It's well known that the NHS has extremely poor and outdated communications. I was at a Health conference last week where this was admitted. I'm afraid there is little you can do other than getting your GP to help if needed and talking to PALS at the hospital.
