I think the id is primarily for people at risk of hypo, as they are the people most likely (but hopefully it will never happen!) to keel over and need fairly specific and swift treatment for their diabetic condition. Apart from that, I don't really think there's much need for them - but I'm happy for people to give me more reasons!🙂

If you were involved in an accident and were unconscious you would want some form of medi alert as when they get you to A & E they might put you on a glucose drip. You'd have a super hyper!
 
Yeah, those medi band things are ok. I'd really hate to have one of those big metallic thingies myself, but i could live with one of those rubber braclet ones. Don't need one at the moment though. I'm not sure how work would react to it, we've gone on an infection control blitz and nobody is allowed to wear anything on thier arms (including watches or clothing with long sleeves) on the wards. Again this doesn't affect me yet.
