Is there anyone on Metformin and Lisinopril/Amlodopine?

If so, has the doctor mentioned any interacting effects that combination may have....? And what are folks personal experiences?

I was on both when first diagnosed no mention was made of any interacting affects though I did get the dry cough that is a side effect of the Lisinopril but the doctor just changed the drug.

I haven't heard of any Metformin interactions with BP drugs (CCB, ACEI, ARB)

I am on both Met and Lis, not sure what im looking for but havent had any problems as far as im aware, nothing ever been mentioned, been on both for about 7 years

Nope, can’t find any interactions in the medical info. I don’t doubt on the internet there will be folk whose noses have dropped off on this combination, but then there always are.

I am on them at a low dose can't take amlodopine at more than 5 mg as legs swell up to much. Not as a result of the interaction between the meds, mine is down to my body can't tolerate a higher dose, which for me is common as have the same with other meds.

Thanks for your thoughts folks.....

I have just started on 1 x 500mg, just to try and reduce my insulin intake.....never had the dry cough associated with the BP meds but I do now since the metformin came along....strange....
