What would you do if you've counted your carbs and injected QA just for your meal then you suddenly decided you wanted a pudding after all?

Thank you in advance for any replies.

I'd inject the extra insulin for the pudding - if you've got the carb count right for the main meal then it should just be a case of injecting the extra for the pud 🙂 You just need to be aware that you will have insulin circulating fr longer than if you had injected it all up front before your meal 🙂

Thanks Northerner,

For coming back so quickly with the reply 🙂

So i did right then, a couple of nights ago i had counted the carbs for my meal & injected QA for it (i'm counting carbs for my tea now as well as breakfast & lunch) then my DS produced a rather nice pudding 🙂 in front of me so out came the carbs and cals book, i guestimated the portion size and injected for the pudding. I did also think about the insulin which would already be circulating and that it would be lasting for longer.
