MATTESSONS have recalled a chicken snack product over concerns they contain pieces of plastic.

The company has decided to recall roast chicken flavour fridge raider single packs with best before dates of July 4 to August 4, and multi-packs with use by dates between July 24 and August 5.

The firm says they may contain small pieces of plastic, but says it is an "isolated incident" with no other products affected.

That's a shame. Like things like that. Not many carbs involved. ( not in the plastic :D )

Never understand why people buy stuff like that! Buy some chicken strips and then bung them in the oven with some seasoning. Nicer, way cheaper and much less processed.

I only buy things like this when they are greatly reduced eg Saturday evening supermarket reductions, when things can be priced as low ar 9p or 15p.

Only tried them once and they tasted like plastic anyway to me. Very synthetic tasting :(
