I have been lurking, but not posted for ages. Been very ill ( mental health illness ) and am not doing too well at all just now. Miss everyone and am so lonely at the moment, just don't know what to do. So sorry for putting a downer on the thread.

No need for any apologies casey, I know how difficult it can be to engage with people when you are feeling down. You should know, however, that we care for you and miss you, and hope that things improve for you very soon. Take care my friend, I hope that things are looking brighter for you soon 🙂

Thank you Alan, it is a great comfort to know i have people on here who care. It means alot.

I'm still popping in and out of the forum.

After posting the other month, the depression got a lot worse and I went on a downward spiral very quickly.

I'm taking each day as it comes now and trying to focus on my health, still have the odd bad day but hopefully things will improve.

Take care

Andy

I'm at work but a quiet moment so I logged on briefly.

Not been on any hols this year saving pennies up for a better hol next year as hubby reaches 50.

Going to the Rugby on Sunday London Welsh vv Leicester should be a good game & then next weekend off to Bournemouth for a couple of nights in a hotel & a bit of a break.

Taking mum & dad to give her a couple of nights off as she is going through a rough patch with dad being on dialysis (he also has T2) trying to keep him on a very restricted diet.

Anyone know any good restaurants in Bournemouth; we are staying in a hotel right by the beach (Connaught).

Take care
Better go & do some work.

I'm lurking every day, posting infrequently. It's the summer holidays!!!!
And we've been away on a Norway Cruise 🙂 Had a great time

Girls back at school on Wednesday, me probably back working at the primary school at lunch time (not been asked yet, but it's been hinted at).

I call to read/learn but haven't posted about dad for ages as I was anxious that he hadn't been called back for his review. His last HbA1c was quite sometime ago. I know we could have contacted the nurse at the surgery but we don't like to pester them.

We are still self testing and dad is full of renewed energy! To think he was using a walking stick last year. The letter arrived this week for his diabetes review hoping the blood tests mentioned will include his HbA as we both need to know if we have to make any more changes to his diet. He still hasn't gained weight but has definitely improved his strength and fitness. I'm the one who has to rest/recover after being out with dad!

A little worried to actually get his result towards the end of September even though I want to know what it is.

Hi pippin, I would certainly expect an HbA1c to be included in the tests for your dad's review. It's terrific that he is doing so well, I'm sure you don't need to worry about the result 🙂

I think it's been quiet everywhere this month Northie. Certainly has been over on t'other support forum but it's waking up a bit this past few days.

It's been a long, long time since I posted on any threads but I do still drop by on occasion.

Hope everyone's staying on track (ish).🙂

Been reading but not putting comments. Fed up, again!
Am working and enjoy my colleagues but not so fond of the work.
No results from MRI scan yet and cardiogram not till end of October so no further news on epilespy.
Bizarrely, have had 3 hypos this week (2 in one day). But still waking up with high sugar levels - so not sure if having night-time hypos and if this caused the seizures.
Still have days where I hate being attached to the s*dding pump!!
On the bright side, saw my favourite author in Aberdeen on Monday and he was really good. Hubby treated me to his book for my birthday - but have to wait till end of Nov to get it!! (So I'll read his Ron Hill book that he got for his birthday first!!).
Ah well, onwards and upwards! 🙄

I'm still alive and kicking. Been away on my hols for the last month and just chilled out. Didn't log into anything much.

Hey folks,

I have just moved to a brand new office and my workload has increased significantly, so I don't get as much time or privacy to get online during the day, but as you can see I manage now and again...

In the evening my nights are filled with small children, the new born is taking up all my time with bathing and feeding and so on, I love it though, but I envisage my time freeing up as she gets older...

I have my first pump clinic/pre pump assessment appointment on the 11th of this month, really excited, so no doubt I will be on picking the brains of the best pumpers in the world...

I hope you are all fighting the good fight......:D

I'm around just about find the time to browse between jetting off to somewhere new! Hopefully will be at home for the next couple of weeks so might get the chance to post.

Eating out a lot making the numbers a little high, I guess the boring evenings at the hotel bar aren't helping much either! A couple of weeks at home will help get things back to normal, then it's off to Italy, all that pasta isn't going to be great, and Amaretto is dirt cheap 🙂

Hi guys
Another fed-up lurker here. I've pretty much lost the plot with my Diabetes this year, my HbA1c went up from 8.1% to 8.4% in June. I'm testing/injecting but my hearts not in it, and I desperately wish it was.

My meter average has dropped from over 10mmol to 8.5 in the last few weeks so I'm hoping for an improvement in December. I'm hoping by not over-thinking everything that I'll be back to my normal self soon.

Hoping you're all well and your BG's are behaving xx
