Where is everyone? It's very quiet here at the moment, what are you all up to? I hope it's because you all have wonderful alternatives to chewing the (low carb) cud in here 🙂

If you're lurking, why not give us a quick update and let us know what is going on for you at the moment? 🙂

Wiki was no help, nor Google, so thought I may have to be the stupid one (again) and ask on here, then I got it!!!!!!!!!!Missing In Action.

At least I think I did.😱

Only been looking in and out, as really busy at the moment...

Grandson is due any time now😱

Suffering from Glow in the Dark knees🙄

As Flo and her partner just got their own place so been helping out, laying carpets... Poor things they could afford the carpets, but couldn't afford the carpet layer.... So mum has stepped or should that be knelt in as the 'carpet layer'...

I think that they are pleased with what I've done so far, as Flo's took a piccy and put it on her facebook page with a Whey hay etc...

But boy are my knee's hurting and sore, red as anything and I jest not when I say they glow in the dark!

Also a couple of other things which I can't mention yet!

I'm fine thank you 🙂 Are you on any other meds besides insulin? I was on 11 different ones at diagnosis - found it very difficult working out which ones were putting me off my food! Hope things are more settled for you soon 🙂

What are your post-meal tests like? A 6 in the mornings is good 🙂 Often with Type 2 it's the 'phase 1' insulin that is a bit tardy, so you can often get a spike in the first hour or two before your pancreas wakes up. A lot of the meds are designed to help overcome this problem, or you may be able to overcome things by adjusting your diet/activity levels 🙂

Keep up the good work! 🙂

It's great news about the job Hazel, but understand the worry about your dad. Mine is 84, reasonably fit, but I still worry. Hope he can recover strength 🙂

Hi, I'm doing ok in between having the regular blood taken for the platelet problem and having physio, probably shouldn't say it out loud but diabetes ok for the minute.

Father-in-law having the op for his tumour to be removed today but went to surgery at 4pm and is still not back on the ward. Very concerning, waiting for news.

Can't believe the school holidays are practically over and kids back to school on Monday.

I'm doing fine, still off meds and heading for my annual MOT. Trying to walk at least an hour a day but struggle when it is raining. I read all the posts and learn from them bot don't often contribute.

I blame holidays. How *could* people find anything more interesting and engaging to do than browse/post/rant here 🙂

I still check daily but Gavin is now 16 weeks old and at 9 weeks old my appendix ruptured. So its been crazy here. All well now and Gavin is keeping me on my toes. Xxx
