Hi, they did a finger test last week and it was 12.1, then i had a fasting test next day and it was 12.2 , is this normal to get about same readings from both tests?

Hello and welcome! Probably a bit of a coincidence that they were practically the same but there's no reason why they shouldn't be similar, the non fasting one would have been fairly random I'm guessing and would be just a snap shot of ongoing fluctuations.

New myself.....but I'll give you my take on it, and will stand to be corrected. The fasting test is the important one. All others will tell you whats happened whilst you ate/exercised etc. Many of us could of been diabetic for years, as, and this is true as my doctor confirmed it. If you go to a doctor and have a blood test, and the GL levels are 8.0 ish, they they will not panic, as normal eating in a non-diabetic, will push their levels up that far.

So to your question.......yes, it can be normal.

Finally, and forgive my ignorence............Hi😉🙂
